Sorry, I just couldn't resist the 'temptation' of posting this story from CNN: Quote:ROME, Italy (CNN) -- A man and a woman have been charged by police in Italy after they were found having sex in a confessional.
Story Highlights
-Man and woman arrested after being caught having sex during morning Mass
-Italian couple defended their actions claiming they are atheists
-Bishop of Cesena: Couple's behavior was blasphemous and offensive
-Announced Mass to restore the cathedral's 'purity'
I guess if you've made up your mind to sin and know that you'll need absolution afterwards, they couldn't have picked a better place. The complete story on CNN is here. I've been trying to find a list of the crimes and the amounts required to purchase an "indulgence." I haven't been able to find an extensive list yet, but did come across this one reference: Quote:"Under Leo X (1513-21)--who cursed and excommunicated Martin Luther—specific prices

I was listening to one of the video presentations in the YY Study Group room on Paltalk and the speaker claimed that most every Cathedral in Europe is built directly upon the ancient pagan worship site of that area. I had never heard that before - can anyone confirm it? |
