Why do you use varient transliteration? Is it to keep the connection with the Hebrew characters?

Torah is the more common transliteration, Towrah is a more accurate transliteration. In reality if you listen to anyone speaking Hebrew Torah may be how it is written, but they pronounce it Towrah.
Transliteration is about reproducing the sounds of one language in another. How you scribe it is less important than how you pronounce it. Listen to a Hebrew speaker and you will hear Towrah, but then when they scribe it it will be scribed Torah, but that is because the o can be pronounced with the ow sound. |
Don't take my word for it, Look it up.
