We all know that the shofar is used for Yom Teruah, Yom Kippor, and the Jubilee Year. But I would like to know more about this wonderful instrument of Yahuweh...the sound of which electrifies me. I have read that the shofar was used to usher in the weekly sabbath, and I know it was used as both an instrument of war and of music. I have heard that some congregations use it frequently in their servies. But I unfortunately don't know as much as I want to or perhaps should. What was and is the role of the Shofar? Please share your knowledge.
Shalom
YHWH's ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
