Check it out. Maybe someone can help me out with this:

Genesis 9:5
And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.

When I went to look up the hebrew word for "accounting", it wasn't there! What? When my hebrew text came up the passage looked as if it was a completely different passage.

English (NASB)
"Surely

I will require
your lifeblood

from every
beast

I will require
it. And from every man,
from every
man's

brother

I will require
the life
of man.

That was my translation of it. If you want to put it in context, I have all of Chapter 9 done, you can get it HERE, it's in post 62 right now. That was the last update i posted, I believe it goes through Chapter 20, I'm almost done through Chapter 25, and will post it when I get it finished.
Don't take my word for it, Look it up.

Here is what the Stone Edition Tanakh says regarding the question. (Massive Rabbinical Bible, but tons of great info)

"The Torah places another limitation on man's right to take a life. God states that he will demand an accounting from one who spills his own blood, for a human being's life belongs not to him but to God. Though Noah had been granted authority over animal life, he had no right to commit suicide

"Of every beast...."

"Beast too are forbidden to kill people (Rashi) and if they do, they will be killed through divine means. Alternatively, this passage refers to a person who turns over another to be killed BY wild beast. Alternatively, the verse refers to murder, and warns God will not permit a murderer to go unpunished. He will be hunted down by wild animals or by the hand of man"

Might want to take the time to check out what it would say in Pictograph Hebrew also.

Hope this helps.

Thanks mate,. That is an interesting interpretation of the passage. The passage itself though seems as if it simply cannot be interpreted correctly unless there are additional sources that can shed light on it.
