Question:

Psalm 69:5

Psalm 69 seems to be Messianic; however it refers to "my sin", "my folly" is "known to You"

I do not understand how it can be insinuating that the subject of the Psalm (which I assume is the Messiah) can be saying "my sin", "my folly", etc. I was hoping to find "asher" somewhere in there.

Any ideas?

While some parts may seem Messianic, to me this sounds more like David writing in the first person. I would say just after a cursory read through it, that this is a Psalm by and about David.

I could be wrong though.
