Shalom,

It would be a nice miracle -- not wanting it or counting on it to happen -- but if the fire did go past the mandatory evac line but left Yada's home untouched... HALLELUYAH!!!

Mysterious, Glowing Clouds Appear Across America's Night Skies

"Mysterious, glowing clouds previously seen almost exclusively in Earth’s polar regions have appeared in the skies over the United States and Europe over the past several days.

Photographers and other sky watchers in Omaha, Paris, Seattle, and other locations have run outside to capture images of what scientists call noctilucent (”night shining”) clouds. Formed by ice literally at the boundary where the earth’s atmosphere meets space 50 miles up, they shine because they are so high that they remain lit by the sun even after our star is below the horizon.

The clouds might be beautiful, but they could portend global changes caused by global warming."

Massive Quake Moves New Zealand Closer to Australia

WELLINGTON (AFP) – A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake last week has moved the south of New Zealand closer to Australia, scientists said Wednesday.

With the countries separated by the 2,250-kilometre-wide (1,400-mile-wide) Tasman Sea, the 30 centimetre (12 inch) closing of the gap in New Zealand's southwest won't make much difference.

But earthquake scientist Ken Gledhill of GNS Science said the shift illustrated the huge force of the tremor, the biggest in the world so far this year.

The universal excitement over this eclipse simply reminds me that much of the world welcomes darkness. It's a perfect metaphor for the spiritual darkness that's about to engulf the world---met with enthusiasm, applauded by the naive, and brought to an end by the "Sun of Righteousness" (Malachi 4:2)

Shabbat Shalom,

Yeah, I could never fathom the excitement over eclipses or planetary alignments. Yes, it may happen infrequently but it really has little or no bearing on what happens here on earth. It's what these people make of it that annoys me. It's great for scientists as they can study the sun's corona for solar flares or other phenomenon or the moon's ridges for whatever purpose, but the way the common man chases eclipses and makes such a hoo-haa over it is tantamount to adulation and idolatry. Now, looking at how New Zealand moved a foot closer to Australia in one seismic event is interesting as it shows that tectonic plate movement has potentially great latitude. This shows that "the mountains and islands fled from Him" is really a possibility. This would definitely affect us more than a few minutes of darkness caused by a shadow. Haven't the scientists thought it a great coincidence that the "moon size" just fits the "sun's size" from the earth's point of view? Sigh!

Oldest Animal Fossils Found in Lakes, Not Oceans

Charles Q. Choi

livescience.com – Mon Jul 27, 5:12 pm ET

Conventional wisdom has it that the first animals evolved in the ocean.

Now researchers studying ancient rock samples in South China have found that the first animal fossils are preserved in ancient lake deposits, not in marine sediments as commonly assumed.

These new findings not only raise questions as to where the earliest animals were living, but what factors drove animals to evolve in the first place.

For some 3 billion years, single-celled life forms such as bacteria dominated the planet. Then, roughly 600 million years ago, the first multi-cellular animals appeared on the scene, diversifying rapidly.

The oldest known animal fossils in the world are preserved in South China's Doushantuo Formation. These fossil beds have no adult specimens - instead, many of the fossils appear to be microscopic embryos.

"Our first unusual finding in this region was the abundance of a clay mineral called smectite," said researcher Tom Bristow, now at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. "In rocks of this age, smectite is normally transformed into other types of clay. The smectite in these South China rocks, however, underwent no such transformation and have a special chemistry that, for the smectite to form, requires specific conditions in the water - conditions commonly found in salty, alkaline lakes."

One more nail in evolutions coffin...

So let me see if I've got this straight. Hurricane Bill is headed for New England. Prez Obama, who trashes Israel at every turn, is about to arrive in Martha's Vinyard (in New England) for a vacation. Is it just me, or is Yahweh getting more focused in His "acts of God?" I mean, remember the big linden tree that blew over onto the white house lawn? Perhaps a better question: if Obama suddenly changed his mind and decided to vacation at the Outer Banks, would Hurricane Bill change course accordingly? Or a better question still: if Obama stopped attacking Israel every time he turned around, would Yahweh stop sending storms after him?

Besides the name Bill, short for William (coming from two words meaning "will or desire" and "helmet, protection"), the word bill in English can also refer to a "decree, seal, or document, an account or invoice, order to pay, and to send someone a bill of charge." Yahweh's sending Obama the bill for the damage he's causing.

EDIT:

I'm not quite sure what's happened with the storm as of late though, I think it stayed out at sea while some of the eastern coast of North America being affected, from what I read it should be on its way to the UK and Ireland as a powerful low pressure system.
