Was John the Baptist Saved?

I have always been confused by the following verse. I`ve heard Chuck Missler say that it refers to the establishment and importance of the `Church` as confirmed in Paul`s letter to the Corinthinians. Can anyone shed some light of this? Quote:11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

Well, my take on this is that anyone who is resurrected shall be greater than anyone mortal. :-) |

John was, for all intents and purposes, the last of the Old Covenant prophets. He didn't live long enough to witness the resurrection of Yahshua, and therefore didn't have any empirical knowledge of precisely how Yahweh intended to fulfill His promises of restoration and redemption. We who live after that momentous event are privileged in a way that John never could have been: the least of us is, in that sense, "greater" than him. Remember, however, that with greater privilege, knowledge, and evidence comes greater responsibility. John had insight. We have sight.

that makes a lot of sense. i wasn't exactly sure what "greater" meant in this verse either. but what you spoke makes so much sense.

kp This is one of those "can't get a good grasp on" Scriptures, till someone so clearly explains it - then it's like: "duh, that makes perfect sense, why didn't I understand that before" THANKS KP
