Several folks have asked about what software is available for your PC to do your own Scripture analysis. Below is a list of what I have found with brief descriptions of each. I do not propose to know about all of them nor have I used each and every one listed. I do expect that others will list here any they have found. For those I have used and really find to be top notch, I will start a new topic with its name and a more comprehensive review. Please be encouraged to use these tools, prayer and the Set-Apart Spirit's knowledge and wisdom to dig into the "meat" of the Word.

The software title is listed first with the operating system platform next and a "$" for a commercial product and "Free" for just that. I included a link for you if you want to check it out further and a description from their website (not my words). Please note that these titles are mostly copywrited material and any reuse must be noted or may even be prohibited.

Sword for Windows (Windows) Free http://www.crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp
The SWORD Project is the CrossWire Bible Society's free Bible software project. Its purpose is to create cross-platform open-source tools-- covered by the GNU General Public License-- that allow programmers and Bible societies to write new Bible software more quickly and easily. We also create Bible study software for all readers, students, scholars, and translators of the Bible, and have a growing collection of over 200 texts in over 50 languages.

BibleTime (Linux) Free http://www.bibletime.info/
BibleTime is a Bible study application for Linux. It is based on the K Desktop Environment and uses the Sword programming library to work with Bible texts, commentaries, dictionaries and books provided by the Crosswire Bible Society .

Gnomesword (Linux) Free http://gnomesword.sourceforge.net/
GnomeSword is a Bible study tool written for Linux and UNIX systems under the GNOME toolkit, offering a rich and featureful environment for reading, study, and research using modules from The Sword Project and elsewhere. GnomeSword also runs in the Windows+Cygwin environment.

MacSword for OS X (Mac) Free http://www.macsword.com/
MacSword is a free & open-source application for research and study of God and His Word. It is developed specifically for Macintosh computers running Mac OS X. MacSword allows you to read and browse many different bibles translations in different languages from Hebrew to Albanian. As well as reading devotionals, commentaries, dictionaries and lexicons, it also supports searching and advanced features such as services so that you can access the Bible in any program. e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package.

OnlineBible (Windows) Free http://www.onlinebible.org/
The Online Bible is a Bible study application for Windows with a focus on European languages and English.

Olive Tree (Some Phones and PDA's) Free and $ http://www.olivetree.com/
Olive Tree produces software to load scripture and commentaries on your phone or PDA. They have a compatibility list on their site.

A place for Free Bible Downloads and Free Bible Study software.
