If this has been discused already please point me to the thread. I have read the post on Yahowsha as the human sacrifice but still not a good answer.

Why did Yahowsha tell the thief that he will be in paradise? Do we know anything about him and why did Yahowsha say that. Could it be that the thief was Torah observant and the theft that Yah is talking about, through the statements, is when someone robs a soul through religious lies?

Thanks

I don't remember ever hearing any commentary on this.

Not sure if this text is extant. Perhaps JB could elighten us on that point.Smile

But, it appears that the thief understood who Yahowsha was and so was presumably a Covenant Family member.

The question is can a Family member be disinherited.

It seems likely that the part of the story about Yahowsha telling the thief "tonight you will be with me in paradise" is a man-made addition, from someone who didn't know that Yahowsha was being crucified on Passover, and that after sundown, his soul would descend to She'owl as a guilt offering for Unleavened Bread.
Ha Shem? I'm kind of fond of Ha Shemp, Ha Larry, and Ha Moe myself. And the earlier shorts with Ha Curly.

I hadn't thought about that as well, most likely added as the adulteress woman in Yahochanan. It makes religion seem more valid to the unknowing.
