And (wa)unto (‘el – toward) your husband (‘ish – man) you will have strong emotional feelings (tasuqah – desires and longings) and (wa) he (huw’) will have dominion (mashal – rule) over (ba ‘eth – in association with) you.’”

We were discussing this in another thread and an unrelated thought popped into my head. Yah told Chawah that great and multiplied, increased shall be your pain in childbirth. The implication being that it wasn't prior to this, but how would Chawah know that it was greater if she had never experienced it before. Could it be that Adam and Chawah had other children while still in Eden?

Wow, and interesting thought. The hesitation I have with that possibility is why would the children have gotten kicked out of the garden? Since the garden was self producing, would they have needed parents? It reads as if Adam didn't give her the can Chawah until after Yahowah dealt with her.

I am of the school of thought that there were people outside the garden. Never really considered them to be the children of Adam and Chawah though. Hmmm, that is a new thought to chew on!

I would think that if there were children born in Eden that they would not have been expelled with Adam and Chawah, perhaps they are still there.

I certainly think that there were other humans on earth at the time, that to me is what is being described in Gen 6, the descendants of Adam marrying those from the humans that were outside the garden.

I tend to think of Gen 2 as an amplification of Gen 1....I mean was God finished with creation on the 6th day or not? Gen 2 gets more specific with man being made from dust of the earth, creation of woman, etc.

Then theres Cain worried others would kill him, but yet lifespans were hundreds of years and verse about the murder denotes a passage of time before the murder, so could have been many generations by then with 1000s or 10s of thousands of people.

Then the gen 6 account I notice that nephilim means tyrants & bullies and could have been just kidnapped women as they pleased. The other place in numbers nephilim is used seems to mean tyrants & bullies who happened to be of great stature too.
I suppose Nimrod (and the aparatus) at babel was a nephilim too...yah wiped out all but Noah and family with the flood, only to have it occur again at babel.

Hard to find good example of population growth without malthusian "save mother earth" hits, but example is:

Speaking of malthusian eugenesists, sick how this mindset is becoming so trendy especially in the halls of power/media:

Cgb2,

I found this quote interesting from one of the articles you sited.

11. Some rather pessimistic demographers speculate that the maximum number of people that can be sustained by land agriculture is about 40 billion. This means that the carrying capacity (K) for the earth is 40 billion. Starting with a population of 5 billion in 1988, when will the earth reach 40 billion (in years)?

40 is a number of completion.

Socialist secular humanists and Muslims embrace a culture of death. Yahowah said choose life.

Deu 30:19 “I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore you shall choose life, so that you live, both you and your seed,
Deu 30:20 to love יהוה your Elohim, to listen intelligently to His voice, and to cling to Him – for He is your life and the length of your days – to dwell in the land which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, to give them.”

Shalom
