Okay, well i wasn't able to sit in for Yada the whole week while he was on vacation, but I do have tomorrow free and have prepared a show. Rather than continue Ba'reshiyth, since we only have 1 day and Patty won't be able to join me, I have prepared a show on a topic that has come up frequently on both the forum and in the chat room, and that is the Lunar based Sabbath concept. I hope you all will join me, it will be at the regular time tomorrow morning.

Thanks,
James

While playing loud, I missed most the show until I got to settle down today and look it over. Niceee! I can certainly observe what you did in a very pedantic way. Thanks!!!

Thank you, James, for this broadcast! I have had questions about the "lunar Sabbath". I did not quite hear the end of the program, but I wanted to mention that maybe the months were originally only 28 days long -- before the "long day" of Yahowsha. And what about the New Moon Sabbaths? If we count 52 weekly Sabbaths, 12 New Moon Sabbaths, and the 7 Assemblies Sabbaths, that gives us 70 to 71 Sabbaths per year which makes sense.

If the months where only 28 days long we have no ecidence of it, scriptural or otherwise, and it would be different than everyone who has ever kept a lunar month. The lunar month by design is based on the cycle of the moon which takes 29.5 days. The whole reason lunar calanders where used was because everyone could observe the moon cycle and stay on the same calander. To my knowledge, and I could very well be wrong, but there is nothing in Towrah about new moons being Sabbaths, and if they are then they would be different from the normal Sabbaths are the Sabbath of Passover and the other miqra.

After reading yesterdays cr while listening to the show, I would think that most people after what happened to the Duke lacrosse members a few years ago, would be inclined to weigh evidence a little more carefully. Race baiters like Sharpton and others are continually one the wrong side of the issue. Think about that.

This was the first domestic case I looked at with "new eyes" and I see how easy it is going to be for "the beast" to be easily followed. We have an easy case here where there is one thing we know for sure - the police didn't follow proper protocol. Because of this, the case is now being tried in the court of public opinion.

But, people are easily being divided - but still getting on the same train.

We have the Martin crowd that is now out in force and being stoked by radicals to eventually do something really, really stupid.
We have the Zimmerman crowd that is now, in an effort to defend, becoming the exact same thing they denied they were.
We have the authorities - instead of admitting a mistake (not following protocol), they are now circling the wagons and even starting to make ridiculous precedent. For instance, Zimmerman was told by 911 not to pursue Martin because the police were on their way. Instead of saying "yes, we like for people to heed the advice of the 911 operator" the police are now saying "no, you don't have to follow what 911 says". That is crazy. The advice was sane, consistent with law in the area (don't chase after people committing no crime), and would have indeed stopped the confrontation.

However, all ability to reason is gone from this conversation on the national scene. This has become a big national issue, could possibly incite race riots, and we now have people that would normally be considered sane saying some of the most insane things I have ever seen in my life. It is herd mentality on all sides.

In my mind, this should have been an easy case. Discipline the cop that didn't follow protocol, pick the case up and have it reviewed for protocol. For Zimmerman - "stand your ground" in no way covers individuals who are pursuing. Zimmerman was in no danger when he chose to follow Martin. He wasn't in danger until Martin realized Zimmerman was, in fact, pursuing him. While Zimmerman may have felt he was in danger, a jury of his peers should be deciding if he placed himself in danger or if he was actually put in danger against his will.

If this is a sign of what it is like to live in a nation with no common sense, I am hoping Yahoshua's return is not delayed. To see how easy it is for the masses to get worked up is mind boggling. Never thought I would see people who were acquaintances make statements like I have seen from this incident. I am ready to go find a cave to live in until the trumpet sounds!

This is a perfect example of the "gotta be the first" media not doing their due diligence. There are so many conflicting accounts of what happened going around that no one knows what really happened. Under Florida's Stand Your Ground law depending upon the events that occurred one or the other is guilty. If Zimmerman was pursuing Martin, in plain cloths, and Martin felt threatened then he had every right to confront Zimmerman and defend himself, which is a bad idea but his legal right. If as Zimmerman claims he had given up pursuit when Martin attacked him then he had every legal right to defend himself. The problem is we don't have any account other than Zimmerman's, as all of the witnesses only saw it after the struggle had already began. And the only other testimony we have is Martin's girlfriend who was on the phone with him at the time. The problem is a proper investigation was not done at the time of the crime and now the facts are muddled to the point where we will probably never know what actually happened.

I think both parties acted stupidly and a tragedy ensued.

Definitely agree with you James - that is the whole point. The country can not have a rational discourse on the incident. Everyone is hyper sensitive and running around like a herd. That is what is scary. Everyone in huff.

The other thing is shows is that we are a savagely violent nation. We are actually trying to figure out who punch who first and who was in the right for their punching. At no point have we stopped to say "why are teenagers and grown men fighting?" We are like the Barbarians who used to plunder each other and the rule was the stronger person is right.

I watched the "documentary" Prison Nation last weekend and saw that America has 25% of the world's prison population, but less than 10% of the world's population. We have more guns than people because we are all scared of each other. I remember reading about Rome when I was younger and thinking "what a terrible place, good thing I didn't live back then". But, we are just as bad right now. The fact that we have neighborhoods where a guy drives around with a gun looking for "bad guys" is crazy. The fact that we have kids who think if someone is behind them, their best choice is to turn and punch them in the face is crazy.

But, we have always been a very violent nation. I remember my mom reminiscing about the "good old days". I laughed and said - which ones, the ones where Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, and Dr. King got gunned down or the ones where Jim Crow was in effect and we had "sun down" towns? Or maybe the ones where there was the fire bombing of churches and KKK marches or the National Guard escorting little kids to school? We had a good laugh because we realized we are simply conditioned to believe we are "good" and our country is "good". USA has some of the highest crime statistics in the world. We are just a very, very violent nation - from our military pursuits to our inner city gangs to our "neighborhood watch" groups acting as mini militias.

Holding up that mirror is pretty hard, but its true.
