I use to listen to him allot
But his using jesus and The Lord interchangeable with Yahweh and Yahushua was too irritating to be enjoyable - guess he wanted to keep the christians happy as well as those who call on The Almighty's true name.

It is very beautiful - very talented musicians. But I agree with Walt. Substituting Yahweh's name again - it's very discouraging. And I'm not a big fan of "7-11" praise songs. I feel numbed by the same 7 words or phrases sung 11 times. Forgive my scorn. I think the whole Christmas whirling dervish type insanity is getting to me!

I'm not really familiar with Paul Wilbur's teachings but I can honestly say I liked the song, at least they're on track (in the song at least), but just wishing they would look a little, maybe a lot, deeper into it and hopefully linking it all together.

Even if some miss the Rapture and don't fully understand the Feasts they'll still manage to figure out roughly how many days until the Messiah's Return from the moment of the treaty being signed. It seems to be common knowledge amongst Christians the Tribulation will last 7 years long, I think even Atheists hear it so much I kinda wonder how many of them will be die-hards for Yahshua during the Trib.

My wife's church sang that song so much she became allergic to it. lol

I am not sure I agree with the songs theological standpoint - it more sounds like a Christian stringing a load of Scriptural ideas together and not really understanding them.

I know how that feels, you walk into church and they're playing the same songs from the previous Sunday, and the Sunday before that. No matter how good the song is it eventually gets a little too much. Let me remind you guys of one song, "Shout to the Lord of the earth let us sing..."

I know what you mean Rob, when they talk about something but really haven't a clue to the depths of what they're saying. I used to admire guys like Rick Joyner, thinking he was really knowledgeable about Scripture, but while reading an article on Passover of his recently I was like, "man, if only you knew what the Torah was actually trying to teach us, you've just brushed the surface with a toothbrush, cleaning the floor, if you got yourself a spade things would be totally different, you'd discover the gold below!" It's like one of the gold reefs in South Africa, many Christians use a a tiny garden spade to dig while others, like KP and Yada, have figured out how to use the heavy duty machines to dig kilometres deep where the gold is stored. Also, KP and Yada, and us, really want to dig and get dirty as opposed to just being comfortable gardening at the surface.

That was a rarely seen insight into the composer's mind. Thanks for posting. I would love to sit down and talk with this guy, at least there is something to work with!

Well, not exactly. Let us remember not to trash the truth along with the tradition. My wife asked me the other day, "You mean that all that stuff we use to read in Luke every Christmas isn't true?" To which I replied, "Yes, that's all true, but it didn't happen in the middle of winter, it happened in the autumn, at the Feast of Tabernacles." In other words, the "Christmas story" is true, but it ain't "Christmas." The traditions we've loaded onto it were in most cases built upon a foundation of Saturnalia. So keep the nativity scene (excuse the wise men); just put it up in September.

Indeed, I typed too soon. Mea culpa. (Please forgive the latin!)

What I meant to say was that the 'manger scene' wasn't actually in a stable/barn like we have been taught.

At "Nazareth Village" (in Nazareth!) the docents say that what has been traditionally represented as a barn was more likely 'the spare room that is sometimes used as a stall to keep the animals in when it gets really cold' that looked like this:
UserPostedImage

A far cry from an open air 'pole barn'.

The manger itself is likely to have looked like this:

Yeah. It was more like "Oy vey in a manger..." The manger, wherever it was placed, was a feed trough, the Greek phatne, from the verb pateomai: to eat. Any port in a storm, I guess.

I want to do a song using Yada's "clandestine conspiracy" but he has not emailed me back yet with a response on whether i could use it or not. And I have a song that I want to do concerning the deception within Christianity, pointing people to the truth of Yah away from babylonian influence.

You might write the song and then send it to him, and ask for permission.

Oooo, good one, Bridget. "Yahshua then said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.' They said to him, 'Sir, give us this bread always.' Yahshua said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.'" (John 6:32-35)

Now I don't know too much about the rest of this guys music, but this is pretty good. Aside from the first 20 or so seconds and the last few seconds it's a really great song. I like it alot.

I've loved and played bluegrass music for a long time. There's a lot of Gospel tunes, and some lyrics have become repugnant to me. Recently in YY private email someone reminded me about something, and took it to heart. I always loved the guitar work in this, but with a few changes I can sing it again.

No doubt that when I sing this at a bluegrass festival campgound jam, I might get some questions.

It's DanTyminski, Album-Carry me across the mountain, Track 6 "Praise the Lord".
Here's a link. You can bypass "try free for 14 days" and still hear 30 songs a month free without signing up:
http://www.rhapsody.com/dan-tyminski

I've replaced Baal's name (Lord) with Yahweh. Replaced "holy" with awesome. Lyrics flow smoothly too.

Praise Yahweh
(Song: “Praise the Lord” – but using God’s name instead of Baal)
Drop D, Capo 3rd (Key of F)

<Flatpicking intro>

Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh,
And bless His awesome name
‘Cause He don’t ever change
He’s the one, He’s the one
It don’t matter what you’ve done
He wants to love you just the same

<mandolin solo>

When old trouble comes along
and temptation’s growing strong
Take my hand Yahweh I pray
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Have mercy on me
and let your love show me the way

[Chorus] <dobro-fiddle solo>

As I labor in this land
Be my strength and help me stand
Meet me on the narrow way
Many loved ones now are gone
But I know I’m coming home
Soon we’ll all be there to say

[chorus] <Flatpicking Exit>

Wow. I'd already told a Christian Bluegrass pick'n freind I will not be attending GospelGrass this year.
http://www.gospelgrass.c..._Annual_GospelGrass.html

Then this morning I get an email invite to this:
http://www.besorahgrass.com/

Coincidentally the same weekend! Perhaps I will also find someone(s) locally for fellowship here in Colorado.
Some beautiful places to camp around Salida Colorado, maybe I'll even find others to camp and pick with that weekend, June 25,27.

Ackkk, Email function gets error for me too, so I responded using "PM" function which did seem to work.

I can't attend the Friday event either, but will attend Sunday one and might even play. Sounds like they will also have informal gathering on Sabbath for rest and picking too.

Besorahgrass was great. Some truly gifted musicians played:

Even better, I found a small weekly home fellowship only about a 35 minute drive, on West side of Colorado Springs.
