And Yahweh spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
We've grown accustomed to the Roman Calendar, with days beginning at midnight, and years beginning in January. But by Yahweh's reckoning of time, days run from sunset to sunset, months from new moon to new moon, and years begin in the Spring. If the new moon is sighted over Jerusalem tonite, it will mark the start of the first month – the month in which Yahweh brought his people out of slavery in Egypt; and in that same month, 40 years later, brought them across the Jordan river into the Promised Land, behind his servant Yahshua, son of Nun. 2000 years later, also in the first month, he accomplished our redemption through the sacrifice of the perfect Passover lamb, also named Yahshua (commonly called Jesus). |

Praise Yah for another free trip around this system's star!

Happy New Year indeed! Only an idiot would place his "new year" in the dead of winter, when nothing is growing, it's cold and inhospitable outside, and there won't be any signs of life for months to come. And only a bigger idiot would place it where the Rabbis (and Babylonians) have it---in September or October, when the growing season is all but over, when all you've got to look forward to is death and dormancy. Yahweh put new year in the spring, when life is just beginning to show itself. When He gives us new life, He gives it abundantly, without reservation, and all rather suddenly. The first buds are just now beginning to show themselves. Welcome back, life!

I gotta get out of Minnesota... I won't see buds for 2 months :( |

Shalom,
IHN, leave Minnesota and come to Malaysia where something is blooming all the time... and where idiots bloom all the time! Er, that did not come out right... you are welcome to see the natural blooms and also witness how idiotic people can become here when it comes to religion. :-)
Happy New Year! |

Happy New Year! I saw the new moon sliver tonight but it was pretty high up in the sky which means that the new moon sliver was last night even though I couldn’t see it. Many people in the USA saw it last night. http://www.newmoonreport.org/NorthAm.htmlIHN, I just picked my first asparagus yesterday morning and my plum and peach trees are flowering and the bees are very busy. I worked at 3M in St. Paul when I was in college many moons ago, I moved to Texas because I was tired of the cold weather up north.

I have a sister-in-law that lives near there, but thinking about it now, I don't know if I will call it that anymore, I think I will now call it just Paul. |

Ed,
Are you here in Colorado this week? Do you still live in Philadelphia?
