MOSCOW – Russia's space chief said Wednesday his agency will consider sending a spacecraft to a large asteroid to knock it off its path and prevent a possible collision with Earth.

Maybe their attempts to deflect it will be what Yahweh will actually use to nudge it onto earth.

We cannot see Apophis most of the time. It is literally, 'off our radar'.

All that needs to happen is for some other astronomical body to give it a gravitational nudge some time in the next decade or so. The power of a Bruce Willis detonated nuke is trivial compared to an (unseen) "near-miss" by another object out in deep space.

The technical/astronomical term for what happens next is: "Bada-bing!"

Then the odds of Apophis hitting Earth drop from 1 to 40,000 to 1 to 1.
