I journal every morning and often times I get "ideas". This morning
I was thinking about "faith" and "belief" and made the connection
between those concepts with the placeebo effect. So, I typed it into
a search engine and found an article from Stanford.edu entitled

"Placebos, Faith, and Morals Or Why Religion" heres the link:

https://web.stanford.edu/~moore/Placebos.html

In summary:

"The great importance of reinforcing group solidarity may explain the
origins and development, not only of religion, but of art and music,
which appear to have grown up with the former. Evolution seems to
have provided a real reward for those who have faith. People who
believe live longer, express greater satisfaction with life, and
are healthier than non-believers. The placebo effect may have evolved
simply to strengthen the survival of those who believed and could
therefore be counted on to sacrifice for the tribe."

I concluded that because "faith" and "Belief" seem to benefit
people and communities in the physical realm the spiritual realm
can be ignored, replaced and diminished. That is the excuse my
religeous son makes to reject Yahowah. "Look how much my church
benefits it's members and the community. I don't need to look any
deeper."

So, I curb alerted him. hahaha
